THERAPIST, SUPERVISOR, CO-FOUNDER, ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR AT FAIRFIELD UNIVERSITY

Rona Preli, Ph.D

Dr. Preli is the prior department chair, director and founding faculty member of the COAMFTE accredited program in Marriage and Family Therapy and the accredited CSWE Master’s of Social Work program at Fairfield University. She has been a licensed, practicing clinician and supervisor for over 35 years. She has served the profession of Marriage and Family Therapy in leadership positions on the state and national level. She trained with Jay Haley and Cloe Madanes and is an expert in Structural and Strategic Family Therapy.

Robert Preli, MA, LMFT

Rob is a graduate of Fairfield University’s Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy program. He is a Structural and Strategic family therapist and supervisor and a former Division I Varsity athlete and coach of a Division I men’s rowing team. He is a specialist in working with couples and families as well as working with athletes and sports teams around issues of performance.

Jay Taylor, Ph.D, LCSW

Jay is a licensed Ph. D in Clinical Social Work with extensive experience in affirmative clinical and community advocacy work. He is an Assistant Professor in the Marriage and Family Therapy program as well as the Clinical Director of the Social Work program at Fairfield University where he specializes in the Narrative and Solution Focused Models and substance use treatment. Jay’s passion for gender equality, LGBTQI, and men’s issues have guided his work in hospital, university, and community settings across the US.

Nicole Wilhelm Hammond, MA, LMFT-A

Nicole is a graduate from Fairfield University’s Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy program. Her training as a Structural and Strategic family therapist is the foundation of her approach and enables her to help clients repair relationships, overcome problems in their lives, and accomplish their goals. Nicole has a professional background in education, with over 20 years as a teacher and administrator. Her lived experience of divorce, co-parenting and building a blended family affords her the compassion and understanding to work with couples and families that are experiencing a variety of challenging events in their lives.

Asha Ghosh, MA, LMFT

Asha completed her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fairfield University. Asha’s approach to working with you is both compassionate and practical, with an underlying belief that, in the moments when difficulty arises, we are presented with a unique opportunity for transformation and growth.  Asha will seek to understand the challenges you are facing and support you to move forward. She has over 20 years of experience in yoga and mindfulness practices and will work with you to access your inner wisdom. She has lived in 3 countries and traveled extensively, and enjoys working with clients with diverse backgrounds and experiences.

Irene Park, MA, LMFT-A

Irene is a graduate of Fairfield University’s Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy Program. Her training in Structural and Strategic Therapy enables her to work from a systemic perspective that views problems and their solutions from a holistic context, fostering adaptive and sustainable change for her clients. Her style is collaborative, direct but compassionate, and change oriented. Incorporating techniques from Narrative and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Irene supports her clients by helping them access the transformative potential of harnessing their existing strengths and capacities.

Timon Lee, MA, LMFT-A

Timon is a graduate of Fairfield University's Master's in Marriage and Family therapy program. He loves working with clients to overcome the challenges life brings, access overlooked strengths, and interrupt stuck communication patterns. Timon is a specialist in the models of Structural and Strategic Family Therapy and works with a wide range of clients from young children to adults as well as couples and families. Timon particularly enjoys working with LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent clients and strives to acknowledge the societal factors that make us who we are while encouraging clients in building the lives they want.

Ali Wachtel, MA, LMFT-A

Ali is a Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master’s degree from Fairfield University. Her approach is direct yet gentle, fostering trust and openness in her work with clients. Ali is dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families strengthen their relationships and addressing both everyday challenges and moments of crisis.

Throughout her adult life Ali has devoted herself to supporting families raising children with special needs. Both personally and professionally this work has given her firsthand insight into how deeply connected individual, couple, and family dynamics truly are, and how easily those systems can become strained when having to endure ongoing stress. Over time, she has refined her skills in guiding her clients through complex emotional and relational challenges. Drawing from these experiences, Ali has developed a unique therapeutic approach that empowers clientsto deepen their connection to one another and create lasting change.

Avery Salveson, MA, LMFT-A

Avery completed his Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fairfield university. He is a Structural and Strategic Family Therapist that is committed to transformative growth and collaboratively supporting clients to create stabilizing changes in their lives. Avery’s approach is compassionate and direct, with the belief that with guidance and support, everyone can achieve the goals they set for themselves and their families. Avery has personal experience with addiction and service work with under-resourced communities, shaping his empathy for those who struggle with a variety of unique obstacles. Avery is invested in helping clients access their strengths, maneuver through barriers, and realize their potential.

Amelia Goduti, MA, LMSW

Amelia Goduti is a Licensed Master of Social Worker (LMSW) and a graduate of the Southern Connecticut State University Master of Social Work (MSW) program. Passionate about psychotherapy, she specializes in evidence-based treatment modalities. Amelia has clinical experience working with children in foster care and with high school students, addressing emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges.

Skilled in clinical assessments, treatment planning, and collaborative care, Amelia is dedicated to providing empathic, client-centered therapy. She is committed to fostering healing and growth, tailoring her approach to meet the unique needs of each individual she works with. Amelia looks forward to continuing her professional development creating a supportive and therapeutic experience for her clients.

Brianna Pandwe, MA, LMFT-A

Brianna is a graduate of Fairfield University’s Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy program. She has a passion for assisting families interrupt unproductive patterns of engagement. She has experience working with families, couples and individuals from various multicultural backgrounds.
